Biography

Robert is a documentary producer and director whose work examines thought-provoking intersections of the contemporary American experience. He recently directed Con Moto: The Alexander String Quartet, which was a finalist at the Polish Film Festival, a semi-finalist at the Phoenix Melbourne Film Festival and programmed as part of KQED's Trluy CA 12th season.  Producing credits include feature animated documentary, Abina and The Important Men, which premiered at the SF Black Film Festival, Madame Mars: Women and the Quest for Worlds Beyond (in post-production) and the ongoing Web Series, Doc Film Forum.  He is currently editing the feature documentary film, Nail House

 

Robert serves as the Associate Director for the Documentary Film Institute at San Francisco State University (SFSU). He holds an MFA in Cinema Production from The School of Cinema at SFSU.
