Hibernation (Hygge*) space
The DocFim Fellows have been pondering positive ways to continue managing the confining predicament of the pandemic. We mused about bears and being able to hibernate until it was good to go out again. We thought about personal meditation and personal hibernation and how that has manifested in our lives over the past year. Each fellow considered the idea of “Hygge” and how they found comfort and wellness in their newly formed routines of life.
Jeffrey, Erik, Molly, Emily, Kimia, Daniel, and Soumyaa share their special spaces with you here. Each one expresses their own definition of what makes a space safe for a moment or for a while.
*Hygge: a quality of coziness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture).
